Purpose

The purpose of the Strategic Plan of the National Chamber of Crafts is to:

• Encourage the development of crafts by protecting the interests of craftsmen and consumers of craft product and services, to support the development and professional qualification in this field
• Provide an orientation and focus for the Steering Board and its members to achieve the goals and objectives set out in this strategic plan
• Turning to a resource mobilizing tool - where potential members and potential donors can understand mission, vision, strategic goals and thus be more willing to invest in the National Chamber of Crafts
• Serve as a business planning/ short-term planning platform in accordance with this strategic plan and thus enable accountability for performance
• Strengthen the National Chamber of Crafts, eventually making the most professional and influential institution in the handicrafts community
